    Position: Payroll Specialist

    Duration: 12 Months

    Work Environment: Hybrid

    Location: Calgary

    Salary: Up to $85,000

    Position Overview: Our client in the O&G sector seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 12-month contract in Calgary.

    What You'll Do:

    • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Manage processes for new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
    • Handle T4s, ROEs, and year-end reconciliations, adhering to Canadian tax laws.
    • Oversee group pension and benefits programs.
    • Be the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll related questions.
    • Participate in payroll audits, ensuring financial accuracy and risk mitigation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5+ years in payroll and benefits administration.
    • Familiarity with Canadian payroll tax laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Payroll Certification (National Payroll Institute) preferred.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations ethically and adapt to new processes.
