Payroll Administrator - Edmonton, Canada - Stream-Flo
Description
Key position functions:
- Process timekeeping, payroll and associated duties in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain high proficiency knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems, and prevailing payroll/legislative practices.
- Provide strong customer service focus to employees and management.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Human Resources colleagues, and other Department representatives as required (Finance, Operations, etc.).
- Complete accurate and timely payroll processing, consistent with Company guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Review time records for completeness and accuracy, compile information and enter into timekeeping system as required.
- Liaise with third party payroll vendor(s) regarding service and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain updated payroll related information (rates, benefits, employee information, etc.).
- Maintain a service oriented approach to working with management, colleagues and when responding to employee inquiries and concerns.
- Assist with preparing new hire packages.
- Assist with processing new hires and terminations.
- Maintain employee files and information.
- Complete project work as assigned.
- One to two years of payroll administration experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma additional education and Canadian Payroll Association accreditation are assets.
- Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems experience with UKG is a strong asset.
- Experience with hourly and salaried payroll processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with benefit administration.
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused.
- Proven problem solving and decision making skills good judgment.
- Well organized and selfmotivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
