Job Summary


This is a hands-on role that is responsible for all technical services including LAN/WAN and cloud technology architectures, hardware, operations, technical project management, technical administration, and end-user support services for seven Tims Camps sites across North America, as well as our home office location in St.

George, ON.

We're looking for a self-driven technical enthusiast who is equal parts digitally savvy, willing to role-up their sleeves, and excited to put their individual stamp on the future strategic direction of our technical infrastructure.

Work Location
Home office located in St. George, ON, with flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.

Some travel - often last minute - will be required to attend Tims Camps sites across Canada and the U.S., and Tim Horton's HQ in Toronto.

What would you be doing?

  • Maintains and enhances network and cloud architecture to improve the flow of information within Tims Camps' eight locations.
  • Manages inventory of all computer hardware and software, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, scanners, telephone equipment and other office technology. Coordinates ordering and installations of new equipment.
  • Ensures the effective operation of network hardware, programs and directories, VoIP, AccPac and Microsoft Office suite, and provides support to home office and camp staff needing assistance with these tools and programs.
  • Ensures the safeguarding and security of electronic data through control of access to data, reliable backup procedures, archiving processes and disaster recovery plans.
  • Contributes to the development and upgrade of I.T. standards related to security and software utilization.
  • Supports the security system operations according to specifications.
  • Supports or leads any I.T. related projects.
  • Consistently provides excellent customer service to support foundation staff members in their productive use of technology.
  • Works with the camp teams, operations and the digital I.T. team to develop, recommend and implement plans for improving network access and utilization at camps.
  • Develops and submits for approval, capital replacement plans for I.T. equipment.
  • Support head of IT and Digital in building annual budgets and special project timelines, solicits donated I.T. resources and ensures all expenditures fall within approved budget guidelines.

Does this sound like you?

  • Two to three years handson experience with supporting I.T. services in an organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windowsbased administration (local and cloud tenants).
  • Network familiarity preferable with some administrative experience (Extreme Networks / Cisco).
  • Demonstrated experience in TCP/IP routing, client addressing, DNS and DHCP configuration.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication equipment and protocols (VoIP).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, proven customer service skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a high degree of initiative and commitment to continuous education.
  • Highly developed troubleshooting skills with limited resources.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively during periods of high volume.
  • Ability to coordinate, lead and work within a team.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products. Microsoft Certification, Office 365, Active Directory Domain Service and/or Azure experience a definite asset.
  • Bilingual English/French considered an asset.
  • Previous work experience in a nonprofit or camp environment is an asset.
  • Having the lived of experience of our campers and program participants is also considered an asset.
