The Receptionist/Intake Worker will be responsible for initial customer service response, reception activities and facilities in a manner that is consistent with ANS customer service policies and procedures.
The Receptionist/Intake Worker will be the first point of contact for clients, partners and the community at large, both in-person and over the phone.
Accountability
The staff members of Albion Neighbourhood Services are expected to be willing, when requested, to explain the reasons for a decision or action to other staff or community members, particularly when others are affected by the decision or action.
When affected by programming, policies and procedures, staff are expected to offer information and opinions when relevant for the development of new or changing services, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- person ensuring seamless client intake process in responding to client multifaceted
- Ensure the required documents are complete prior to client's appointment with the
- Ensure main reception and office equipment are
- Provide assistance collecting user fees and ensure necessary documents are
- Provide support for Voice Mail as
- Ensure that public areas and kitchen are tidy, safe, and clean
- Maintain office supply inventory and submit
- Experience or familiarity with resources and services available in the community and neighbouring communities
- Oppression Framework
- Provide mediation and conflict resolution
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Demonstrated skills in administration, Microsoft office and use of
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Other duties as
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant education and/or experience in administration/ reception and customer service
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal
- Knowledge of specific issues faced by the community and sensitivity to their
- Knowledge of the Rexdale community is an
- Experience in customer service and dealing with vulnerable
- Develop and maintain working relationships with coworkers and community
- Experience with maintaining statistics and
- Strong written and oral communication
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as data reporting
Contract Start Date:
ASAP
Extended Benefits:
This position is not eligible for extended benefits.
Work Schedule Monday
- Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and occasional evenings and weekends, when necessary, with some flexibility as per funding requirements
Compensation:
$22.00 hr includes applicable pay equity
