Job Functions

  • Receive lower level WO's and sort by Finishing Codes & Master Planning Family
  • Print and attach barcode labels to all products going into Finishing
  • Responsible for distribution of nonconformance materials
  • Maintain a closed loop flow control system
  • Prepare the shortlist and the hotlist items
  • Keep the holding zone filled with pieces to be finished by Master Planning Family
  • Print and Review reports created in JD Edwards
  • Follow shop floor controls
  • Perform required quality inspections
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to take the initiative to solve problems, where appropriate
  • Must be willing to crosstrain in various areas of the department as required
  • Follow all Knoll safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Participate and maintain 5S in the workplace
  • Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work in a multishift environment including flexible hours and weekends
  • Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
Education Requirement

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written)
Experience requirement

  • Two (2) years' experience within Knoll's manufacturing environment
  • JD Edwards experience is preferred
  • Ability to use tape measure and measuring tools
  • Able to read a Work Order (W.O)
  • Knowledge of finished colors and their identification codes
  • Knowledge of veneer substrates
  • Knowledge of sanding defects
  • Read and understand all production drawings
