About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Summer Student. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging in physical activity, and looking forward to each day being different.

As a member of our highway maintenance crew, you will provide support for full-time staff and assist with various tasks such as traffic control, cutting grass, weed whipping behind guiderails, inspecting culverts, installing signs along highways, repairing guiderails, patching potholes on driving surfaces of highways and picking litter.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with highway maintenance tasks including traffic control during accidents on highways;


• Cutting grass behind guiderails using mechanical equipment;


• Weed whippings zones around roadside infrastructure;


• Inspect culverts along provincial highways to ensure their structural integrity has not been compromised by environmental or human factors.
