We are currently seeking aSales Administrative Assistant to join the team in our
Kanata location.
The primary role of the Sales Representative is to provide exemplary service to the customer and manage the day-to-day activities for accounts assigned.
The Sales Representative will work to increase market share, prepare quotes, create sales/work orders and help expand the sales portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Grow commercial sales and prospect new business
- Visit current, dormant, and potential customers in Southern Ontario
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and a strong relationship with customers
- Supply clients with information regarding products, prices, and delivery time
- Update clients file and information and followup on sent quotes
- Receive requests for price quotations, sales orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations; Prepare quotes, bids, and estimates for customers and provide product availability and scheduling information
- Suggest alternative products or purchases to meet all the customer needs
- Working closely with the sales team, develop pricing and supply strategies to reactive dormant or potential accounts who habitually purchase their steel requirements elsewhere.
- Ensure proper management of your account's deliveries, in stock and on order positions and finished goods on the floor
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all departments within Mansteel Rebar.
- Work with the Accounting Department to determine the credit status of customers
- Prepare paperwork i.e purchase order, copies of invoice
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Post secondary education
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience within the construction industry, preferably with rebar, concrete, or formwork.
- Experience in the rebar business (site, shop, estimating, detailing or other) is a definite asset
- Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional relationship building skills
- Sound problem solving and organizational skills
- Must be solution oriented and have a clear understanding of what makes a sale profitable
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision while achieving sales results on a consistent basis
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel when required
