We are currently looking for a
Transportation and Customs Coordinator
for our Head office in Mississauga**.


Responsibilities:


  • Verify and secure all information needed for customs entry and exit including prompt resolution of LVS & HVS shipments
  • Provide instructions/information to our assigned Customs Broker on Clearance, B2, B3, Amends, etc.
  • Update Vendor Importer of Record Master List for accuracy by the fifth of each month
  • Update Vendor Item Master List for accuracy by fifth of each month
  • Obtain, store and preserve current NAFTA Certificates and Certificates of Origin
  • Audit and upload carrier invoices for payment (domestic and international moves) flagging all invoices over $600
  • Resolve unauthorized invoices sent to Rexel for payment and ensure plan is in place to eliminate future issues
  • Ability to provide see inefficiencies in a process and provide a plan to improve the flow.
  • Provide updates on current area of business and communicate during monthly team meetings
  • Create a customer focused environment where all stakeholders can rely on prompt and accurate response from the team
  • Be prepared to assistance the department with other duties that may arise due to company developments

Requirements:


  • College or University diploma with minimum 5 years of progress transportation and logistics experience
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with internal & external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with documentation needed for customs entry & exit includes but not limited to HS tariff codes and duties, NAFTA & Certificate of Origin, Tax ID numbers, and costs
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, is organized and detailoriented.
  • MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook proficient
