What you will do:
- Provide a safe workplace by ensuring all site policies and procedures are being stringently adhered to, including all Key Procedures
- Oversee the mill loadout crew; train employees in safe, efficient methods of operation and in the skills necessary in loadout by providing them with discussion and hands on training methods
- Coordinate all personnel and equipment required to move product, including rail car coordination and movement
- Ensure correct treatment of product, proper sampling, and correct documentation on all out bound product
- Coordinate and supervise the placement and maintenance of the tailings area on weekends
- Provide a level of safe loading and movement of product in accordance with company goals
- Work with the training department to ensure training is completed
- Liaise with mill maintenance and other areas of mill operations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the loadout area
- Issue clear and concise daily progress reports, ensuring continuity of loading
- Ensure crews are properly filling out equipment logbooks
What you will bring:
- Demonstrate positive safety behavior and safety leadership
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of commitment to creating a safe working environment
- Possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, guide and correct performance where needed
- A strong knowledge of potash production, mill operations, and loadout procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential
- Excellent computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
