    QA Test Lead

    Job Responsibilities:
    • The QA Test Lead will lead the design and development of test strategy, plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures for testing.
    • Planning the tests considering the context and understanding the test objectives and risk – including:
    • Selecting test approaches,
    • Estimating the time, effort, and cost of testing,
    • Defining test levels, cycles
    • Planning incident management.
    • It would also involve initiating the specification, preparation, implementation, and execution of tests, monitoring the test results, and checking the exit criteria.
    • At the end of a major test cycle would involve writing test summary reports based on the information gathered during testing.

    Must Haves:
    • 8+ years of QA testing using agile, hybrid, and waterfall SDLC methodologies.
    • The QA Test Lead will provide comprehensive and detailed hands-on testing covering cloud-based Java technologies including JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5.
    • Proficient in the use of SQL in supporting testing activities
    • Experience with AODA testing and use of related tools
    • Experience in project management and QA approaches
    • Working knowledge of testing tools such Azure DevOps, Postman
    • Knowledge of design and ability to write automation test scripts
    • Working knowledge of test management software tools

    Evaluation Criteria
    Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience
    • 8+ years of QA testing using agile, hybrid, and waterfall SDLC methodologies.
    • Provide comprehensive and detailed hands-on testing covering cloud-based Java technologies including JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5.
    • The QA Test Lead will develop plans, execute testing, and produce testing artifacts providing assurance of software quality.
    • Documenting errors and defect tracking management
    • Creation and implementation of test strategy plans for testing software, debugging code, and enhancing the usability of programs.
    • Proficient in the use of SQL in supporting testing activities
    • Experience with AODA testing and use of related tools
    • Experience in project management and QA approaches
    • Working knowledge of testing tools such Azure DevOps, Postman
    • Knowledge of design and ability to write automation test scripts
    • Working knowledge of test management software tools

    • Professional team player with the ability to liaise with non-technical and technical team members as it relates to QA testing.
    • Ability to understand technical and business/customer requirements in ensuring the full scope of testing is captured and executed.

    Desirable Technical Skills and Experience
    • Working knowledge of GIS spatial datasets
    • Working knowledge of programming scripting languages such as Python.
    • Engineering or Computer Science background degree

    Note
    • Hybrid role- some in-office time required.
