    Job Summary

    We are seeking an energetic and driven employee to support our operations by safely operating heavy equipment, completing training and certification courses, and contributing to waste diversion efforts.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Operate CAT and John Deere loader, forklift, and bobcat safely according to operating manuals and established health and safety procedures.
    2. Complete all equipment training and certification courses.
    3. Operate baler controls for Nexgen and IPS Balers, troubleshoot issues, and reset balers when necessary.
    4. Load drum feeders on the tipping floor with the front end loader.
    5. Feed glass plant hopper and Nexgen and IPS balers with the front end loader.
    6. Push loads from recycling trucks on the tipping floor with the front end loader.
    7. Fill supersacs with fibre or containers on the tipping floor for auditing purposes.
    8. Push loads of recycling through push-through bunkers to the baler.
    9. Load dump trailers with residue and other materials with the front end loader.
    10. Inspect, clean, and store bales properly, ensuring they are stacked 2-4 high with at least 4 feet clearance from walls.
    11. Remove visible contaminants from bales before shipment.
    12. Take required pictures of export loads with a company-provided digital camera and submit reports daily.
    13. Sweep floors as needed and maintain clean and organized loading dock areas.
    14. Attend safety training sessions and wear personal protective equipment as required.
    15. Perform daily circle checks and submit written reports to Supervision.
    16. Maintain minor loader and forklift maintenance tasks, including radiator cleaning, fluid level checks, and material removal from underside units.
    17. Ensure loose materials from baling are placed in proper bunkers and taken to reprocessing areas.

    Requirements

    • Valid G class driver's license.
    • Experience operating forklifts and loaders is required.
    • Willingness to work on Saturdays when necessary.
    • Successful completion of an in-house evaluation program conducted by Supervision.
