Spill The Beans is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for great coffee, food, and hospitality.


Barista Skills and Responsibilities:
Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions. Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions. Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per Spill the Beans standards. Prepare and serve food items in line with Spill the Beans standards. Prep and prepare food as per Alberta Health Food Handling standards. Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip. Adheres to Spill the Beans cash handling policies and procedures. Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing. Maintain clean and sanitary work area. Stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, service ware and condiments. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Other duties as assigned by management.

We are seeking individuals with flexible schedules for week day work, and weekend work. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday - 7AM to 530PM. Saturdays 8AM - 430PM. There are opening and closing shifts available.

Barista Qualifications / Skills:
Customer service. Basic safety. People skills. Action oriented. Organization. Previous customer service experience preferred. Previous cash handling experience preferred. Previous experience as a barista preferred. Basic math & counting skills required. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Must follow required dress code as assigned

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Prior café or coffee shop experience required. Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.

Proserve Certificate preferred
