Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with writers and the creative team to deeply understand the nuances of the script and translate it into visual storytelling elements.
Identify key moments, action sequences, and emotional beats that will enhance the overall viewer experience.
Create detailed storyboards that effectively convey the narrative flow, humor, and tone of the animated series.
Develop expressive character poses, dynamic action sequences, and visually compelling compositions to enhance the storytelling.
Work closely with the animation director, character designers, and other team members to maintain a consistent visual style throughout the series.
Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and collaborate on the evolution of the show's visual identity.
Clearly communicate the vision for each episode through storyboards to the animation and production teams.
Provide constructive feedback to artists to ensure the cohesive execution of the creative vision.
Manage and adhere to project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of storyboards for each episode.
Coordinate with production teams to integrate storyboards seamlessly into the animation pipeline.
Uphold high artistic and storytelling standards, ensuring that the storyboards align with the creative vision of the series.
Review and refine storyboards based on feedback from the director, producers, and clients.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Storyboard Artist or Director in the animation industry.
Proficient in industrystandard storyboard software (Toon Boom, Storyboard Pro, etc.).
Strong understanding of animation principles, cinematic techniques, and comedic timing.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of storyboard work with a focus on animated series.
