Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is the national industry association representing Canada's private home, auto and business insurers. Our member companies represent the vast majority of the property and casualty (P&C) insurance market in Canada. Since 1964, we have been championing issues that directly affect Canadians and the property and casualty insurance industry.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for preparing/producing information products for Data Management and Exhibit Production Services in a timely and cost efficient manner;
  • Prepare and run daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports/extractions for various stakeholders and management as required;
  • Work with business users to improve data quality (submissions, errors and historical data corrections);
  • Manage and run comparison reports for Exhibit Production Services in MS Excel;
  • Provide support for UAT testing, data integrity and enduser support;
  • Create adhoc reports as required;
  • Participate in special projects;
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with job responsibilities or necessary departmental/corporate objectives;

Experience and Qualifications:


  • University/College education in computer sciences or college technology diploma;
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience focused on data mining and reporting including manipulating very large relational databases;
  • Knowledge of SQL, MS Office and other business intelligence software;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including prior experience creating pivot tables and VBA Script in Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills, time management and organization skills;
  • Demonstrated track record in meeting deadlines, effectively working on multiple tasks under time constrains;
  • Possess a creative, innovative approach to problem solving;
  • Strong business ethics for handling businesssensitive or confidential information;
  • Tableau and/or Power BI an asset;
