Job Description:
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented
Procurement Manager for immediate employment out one of one of our Greater Toronto area offices (Mississauga, Markham, Richmond Hill or Whitby).
The responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Review, validate, monitor and report on procurement strategy and schedule by the contractor(s)
- Participate in evaluation and provide recommendation on contractor's subcontractor selection and negotiation
- Audit compliance to established procedures and standards for project procurement
- Participate in working groups and other project meetings and reporting on all procurement activities
- Ensures that procurement functions are performed in conformance with the requirements of the prime contract with the client
- Works with others on project teams to identify/approve sources for subcontractors, equipment and materials
- Consults with Legal and the Office of Risk Management Groups as required
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Certification from Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is required.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education) may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years' experience total, with at least 8 years experience leading the procurement process for major capital construction project(s)
- Rapid rail and transit experience preferred
- Proficiency in areas of subcontracting and procurement
- Excellent communication skills that are consistent, effective and efficient both written and oral communication and the ability to exercise sound judgment and effective listening skills
- Advanced skills in the use of critical path schedules and market trends to establish goals and staffing plans
- Delegation skills in assigning tasks to the procurement personnel and ensuring conformance to budget and schedule
- Ability to analyze supplier information to assess cost and schedule risk and develop actions to manage/reduce the risk
- Experience in multiple delivery models, including DBB, DBF and PDB (collaborative, cost plus etc);
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification is an asset
