Your Contributions & Impact:


  • Assist in the planning and implementation of a stimulating, developmentally appropriate playbased program for children and their families
  • Take an active role as part of the Centre's professional child care team
  • Provide a warm and nurturing environment for children and families and act as a positive role model for both
  • Ensure the health and safety of the children
  • Maintains professional relations with members of the community of effect and or affected by our program while maintaining confidentiality of clients as outlined in the YW policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned

You have...

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of Early Childhood Education and development.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (asset)
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act and use of environmental assessment tools.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.

Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C certification (required)
  • Uptodate Vulnerable Sector Check documentation (required)

Pay Rate:
$20.256 per hour + 2% in lieu of benefits + eligible employees may receive a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant (PWEG) of up to $2/hour for in-ratio hours based on the terms and conditions outlined by the Ministry of Education
