The People & Experience portfolio at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a Wellness Specialist to join its team supporting both Queen St.

and College St locations.

Reporting to the Wellness Manager, the Wellness Specialist will develop, deliver, promote, and evaluate the Wellness Centre's programming for CAMH staff, students, physicians, and volunteers.


In this role, accountabilities include but are not limited to the delivery of group exercise classes, wellness breaks (stretch, meditation, exercise), and health coaching sessions.

You will work alongside team members to assist in development and coordination of programs, presentations, and events both virtually and in-person.

This includes set-up and handling supplies that can weigh 30+ lbs.

Some administrative support required for daily operations including registering members for programs, facilitating tours, collecting and analyzing data, and updating promotional materials such as posters, infographics, and brochures.

You will consult with team members, staff, students and volunteers to obtain ideas for improving quality of processes and services.

Your role will provide coverage relief for the Wellness Administrator, Wellness Specialist, and Wellness Manager during scheduled absences and vacations.

In this role, you will assist the Wellness Manager in supporting students with meetings and special projects. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. While this position is located at 1001 Queen Street West, travelling to other CAMH sites is required and mandatory.

Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Please note:
This is a full-time, contract position until October 2024. This is NOT part of any bargaining unit.
