    Location: hybrid format. Our hybrid approach offers the best of both worlds. We primarily use our Montreal (2020 boul. Robert-Bourassa) and Toronto (700 University Avenue) offices for in-person collaboration and team meetings.

    The position

    Use your technical expertise in mobile development to lead and guide an expert team of iOS and Android developers.

    • Translate business objectives into clear team and individual objectives and a clear, innovative and inspiring technology roadmap, in collaboration with the product owner and the Manager, Strategy and Design.
    • Develop and monitor the team's progress and share feedback with them.
    • Build productive and engaged teams, helping them develop personal and technical skills. Mentor team members in their career development.
    • Act as primary technical contact with other technology teams.
    • Work with the team to determine technical feasibility and to ensure the highest possible quality product is offered to customers. Identify opportunities to reuse and optimize code components.
    • Define and implement production support to identify and help the team solve technical issues in our applications.
    • Work with other managers to ensure that all initiatives have the appropriate resources, balancing business needs with each team member's experience and professional goals.
    • Actively develop strategies for the removal of ineffective or unnecessary processes while mitigating risk.
    • Continuously update and improve development practices, tools and processes, empowering people to work independently while also creating more efficient teams, and ensure they can meet our digital leadership objectives.

    You are

    • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

    You have

    • A bachelor's degree in information technology/software engineering or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • At least 2 years experience in team management.
    • At least 2 years experience in project management.
    • Solid experience in using Agile/Scrum to deliver software products.
    • Excellent understanding of the software development cycle in the context of native iOS and Android applications.
    • Proficiency with the following concepts and technologies: Java, Kotlin, Swift, REST architecture, microservices, JSON, Git.
    • At least 7 years of experience in software development.
    • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
