Duties and responsibilities:


  • Promote and develop a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Spectrum's head office that reflects our stated values.
  • Supervise volunteers.
  • Provide courteous, solutionoriented assistance to employees, volunteers, families, and members of the public who phone or come in to the office.
  • Maintain meeting room booking schedule; assist with meeting preparation including booking venues, arranging catering as requested by Coordinators or Directors.
  • Maintain office equipment and inventory of supplies.
  • Oversee bulk purchasing of items for Spectrum programs.
  • Welcome people who come to the office for meetings; provide information, refreshments, etc.
  • Maintain office files (paper and electronic), according to standards.
  • Answer telephone calls and forward messages to staff.
  • Experience with photocopying, faxing, mailing, Microsoft office software including Outlook are distinct assets.
  • You will be responsible to open the office, prepare beverages and maintain meeting rooms throughout the day.

Probation 3 Months


Preferred Training or Experience:


  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset.
  • Basic receptionist skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • Experience with Meridian Phones
  • Experience with photocopying/scanning and faxing

Specific Training or Experience Required:


Expected Hours of Work:


  • Standard office hours are from 9:00am5:00pm (Monday-Friday)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$23.50-$25.75 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
