Speech-Language Pathologist - 1.0 FTE Temporary

Learning Services - Special Education


Applications from permanent employees from within the PSSP Bargaining Unit, other permanent Board employees, as well as external applicants will be considered.


The Waterloo Region District School Board has an opening for a temporary 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist starting as soon as possible to June 27, 2024.

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.

Salary will follow the PSSP collective agreement with a range of $71,059 to $85,858 per annum, prorated to FTE allocation.


Responsibilities:

In-class observation, modeling and small group instruction

Withdrawal for assessment or programming for individuals and groups

Development of strategies and materials to assist in implementation of programs

Meetings with other multidisciplinary or school-based teams to determine collaborative response to school referrals and needs

Respond to system demands in regard to staff development, in-service and networking


Qualifications:

must be registered with, or be eligible for, registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)

a master's degree or equivalent in speech-language pathology

excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Experience with school-aged children is preferred

Experience with providing virtual services is preferred

Use of personal vehicle

Valid driver' s license
