Beswick Tree Service has been in business for over 70 years, serving Hamilton, Burlington and the surrounding areas.

We are a full service tree care company, performing tree removal, tree trimming as well as tree fertilization and spraying.

We are not a fly by night tree company:

we like to say that if you're looking for a few months' worth of work - Beswick isn't for you.

But if you want to make a career out of this, we will work with you to develop you as a professional.

Among other things, this could include helping you get your ISA certification, climbing training courses, a DZ license and ensuring that you get a broad exposure to all things tree care.

Our longest tenured crew leaders have been with us 25+ years for a reason.

We are currently looking for hardworking and energetic individuals to join our experienced tree crews as an arborist's apprentice / ground technician.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage starting at $17 $22 / hour (range is based on experience and qualifications)

Primary Duties:

• Assist climbers and other crew members in tree care maintenance and removal
• Buy into our culture of equipment maintenance. These are our everyday tools that we use to perform a skilled trade.
• Keeping the work area clear of debris, cleaning up limbs and branches as they are brought down by the climbers and foremen
• Responsibly and safely operate equipment such as trucks, skid steers, trailers, wood chippers, chainsaws, hand saws, rakes, shovels
• Ability to push, pull and lift heavy branches and debris
• Participate in our weekly safety and training sessions and live training sessions as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong communicator and a team player with a good attitude. Must be attentive to the climber/foreman's verbal cues throughout the job
• A valid G class license and your own means of transportation is a requirement. Our yard is located off of Highway 5 in Dundas

Training provided - no experience necessary - but previous landscaping/tree care work is considered an asset.
