Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Entertainment, the Entertainment Marketing Manager will be instrumental in executing live entertainment marketing strategies for multiple major venues coast-to-coast with Great Canadian Entertainment, including, The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto.

This role will play a key role in activating the exclusive strategic partnership with Live Nation Canada, the world's largest live entertainment company, to drive ticket sales and elevate the overall brand presence for a diverse portfolio of live events.

This role will liaise closely with the Entertainment Team and Chief Marketing Officer.


This role also ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates, and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic market plans in coordination with internal and external partners for live events, from announcement and onsale through event activation, to drive ticket sales for both retail and casino customers
  • Coordinate and activate owned media (database), earned (PR / social) and paid (advertising) media for promoted and copromoted events at key live entertainment venues
  • Prepare reports & analysis of marketing & ticket sales for the venues
  • Develop business cases for marketing initiatives specific to Entertainment
  • Act a conduit of information and best practices between Great Canadian Entertainment and Live Nation, and across the live venues within Great Canadian Entertainment
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other initiatives as required.

Education and Qualification Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within gaming, hospitality, live entertainment, or related industries.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience leading diverse, project teams made up of both internal and external partners
  • Goaldriven and able to collaborate, influence, and problemsolve with internal and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms, social media trends, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, advanced levels an asset specifically in ROI and analysis.
  • An innate passion for music and live entertainment.
