Position Summary

The Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) requires a Clinical Research Analyst to work within its central clinical research operations office.

The incumbent will be an integral part of the JDMI research office working within a multidisciplinary team to support the various medical imaging research studies conducted at University Health Network, Sinai Health Systems, Women's College Hospital and beyond.


Duties

The incumbent requires previous experience in the coordination and administration of clinical research studies, preferably from a research operations perspective and/or working experience in a medical imaging setting.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


  • Collaborating with PI's, clinicians and multidisciplinary team members to support the triage and review of clinical research studies across JDMI
  • Liaise with study teams, sponsors, clinical operations and external colleagues to determine the feasibility of proposed clinical research studies
  • Support the core research operations team with tasks related to bookings, data management, business intelligence and finances
  • Ensure proposed and ongoing clinical research studies are in compliance with ICH/GCP, tricouncil guidelines, PHIPA, Health Canada/FDA regulations, JDMI policies, and any other applicable policies or regulations
  • Participate in ongoing innovation and enhancement efforts
  • Exercise considerable independent judgement and decision making, using broadly defined policies, practices and procedures, to resolve a variety of complex problems
  • Work with mínimal direction from leadership.
  • Contribute towards development of guidelines, procedures, and standards.
  • May provide direct supervision of assigned personnel for one or more assignments.
  • Participate in protocol development/review and site feasibility assessments
  • Participate in adhoc projects, as required

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in a health or sciencerelated discipline
  • 12 years clinical and/or professional research experience, preferably in a medical imagingrelated role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable clinical research regulations, policies and guidelines
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Exceptional organization and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced, timesensitive environment, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to navigate through problems and seek advice and/or approval for resolution of complex problems
  • Strong knowledge of one or more medical imaging modalities is preferred
  • Customerservice oriented, with the ability to effectively work with a diverse group that may appreciate different opinions
  • Excellent listening and conflict resolution skills
