Mission Springs Brewing Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our dynamic team.
As a Line Cook / Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality food to our guests.
This position requires both morning and night hours, with shifts starting as early as 7am and ending as late as midnight.
-Responsibilities:_
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including burgers, pizzas, and other dishes, ensuring the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients accurately, to support efficient cooking processes.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation.
- Manage preplist and inventory, including checking stock levels, rotating products, and communicating any supply needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Learn and master all stations, including grill, sauté, pizza oven, and other cooking stations, to provide support as needed during peak periods.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks and ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen management, reporting any issues, concerns, or suggestions for improvement.
Requirements:_
- Prior kitchen experience is necessary, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work morning and night shifts, with the ability to start as early as 7am and work until as late as midnight.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage preplist, inventory, and orders.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ability to handle highpressure situations and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
