Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Cook I to fill a Casual position at the Fort Nelson General Hospital.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Regional Northern Health (NH) Policies and Processes, the NH Regional Food Safety Plan and the NH Regional Food Sanitation Plan, this position performs duties related to the preparation and cooking of food items, portioning and serving food, washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and designated cooking/workstations.

Responsible for assigning tasks to designated Food Service Workers.

Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long-term beds.

Qualfications

• Graduation from a recognized 12-month program in cooking or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
