    _\*Columbia Sportswear Canada LP is seeking positive, hard-working, reliable team players to join our team as a Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate.

    This is a temporary contract position running from now until November.

    As a Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate, you will contribute to the distribution of product from Columbia Sportswear Company's Distribution Centre by ensuring our product is received, labeled, inventoried, and shipped according to customer expectations and demands.

    pulling assigned cartons and placing on correct conveyer and sorting mechanisms
    * loading and picking appropriate boxes
    * packing and unpacking goods
    * verifying accuracy of packing, sealing cartons, and loading cartons on trailers for shipment
    * operating computerized inventory control systems.
    *As a Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate, you will operate manual or automated material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers. Experience with these machines is an asset. In-house training will also be provided. Please note, that these positions are **not* *solely a Forklift Operator position; you will still be required to perform other warehouse associate duties as listed above.

    Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associates must maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

    They must also maintain accuracy and attention to detail while using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountabilities for all units.

    repetitive lifting/carrying of up to 40 pounds for the duration of their shift; The candidate should also possess basic computer skills or can be trained on the computer.

    This is a contract position that runs from now to November.
