We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:
Team Lead - Network Infrastructure

100% Regular

Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week


Union Exempt Level 8:
$91,500 to $107,700 per annum


Under the direction of the Team Manager - Assets and Infrastructure, the Team Lead for Network Infrastructure provides direct supervision to an assigned group of network technicians and analysts.

The Team Lead directs the team in the design, installation, maintenance, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting of network and telephony equipment to ensure all end users and devices are able to communicate on the network(s).

Responsible for budgeting, procurement, maintenance contracts, project management, and disaster recovery planning, including providing consultation to OCDSB departments, schools, staff, vendors, other organizations; and assists with long-range planning.


Qualifications:


Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Related Studies and 5-6 years experience; including two years in a supervisory capacity, and in Enterprise Network Management field.


Certifications in one or more of the following are required: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional); Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE); CompTIA Network+; Fortinet NSE

Knowledge of Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure, and operation of on-site data centers

Knowledge of network infrastructure and telecommunications management

Leadership skills required to lead and direct teams, including coaching, mentoring, establishing and meeting goals of the division.

Interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) for liaising and interacting to establish relationships within the District.


Organizational skills, including time management techniques for juggling multiple priorities, deadlines; working under short timelines; and ability to reprioritize when emergencies arise.

Project management skills

Problem/Conflict Resolution and Troubleshooting skills
