POSITION OVERVIEW

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of a two-year diploma in technology management, computer science, or a related field, plus considerable related experience, preferably some experience in supporting and implementing technology solutions for multiple business units or departments; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Thorough knowledge of problem definition and resolution techniques applicable to the development and implementation of information technologies in response to business requirements.
Considerable knowledge of the procedures, methods, techniques and standards used in information systems technology.
Considerable knowledge of the functions of departments served and their information technology requirements.
Ability to analyze and evaluate data and information requirements and develop logical solutions for assigned problems.
Ability to act as a leader on intermediatelevel projects in the plan, design and implementation of new and modified business processes and systems.
Ability to assist senior staff with analyzing new technologies and identify opportunities to align with overall business strategy.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and maintain technical reports and documentation.
Experience in municipal and finance environment and/or a CPA designation or equivalent will be considered an asset.

LICENCES AND CERTIFICATES
Class 5 Driver's License valid in the Province of British Columbia.
