Who We Are:
Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is thrilled to be leading the design and initial phases of the Scarborough Subway Extension project. The extension will stretch the TTC's Line 2 subway service almost eight kilometers further into Scarborough, connecting more people to the downtown core and within Scarborough itself. This development will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), enhancing travel times and access to various destinations across the city.

To support the Scarborough Transit Connect initiative, we are on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Utilities Superintendent to join our crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee subcontractors and in-house teams, determining construction methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Ensure subtrades' productivity, optimal material and equipment usage, and adherence to project contracts.
• Monitor construction compliance with drawings, specifications, project timeline, and budget.
• Collaborate with client representatives, design consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Uphold project quality standards throughout the construction process.
• Maintain accurate field documentation, including safety records, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to project personnel.
• Conduct and lead weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
• Assist in layout and field engineering activities.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to adjust daily objectives for production, schedules, and budgets.
• Perform daily quality control inspections.

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience in the Utility Contracting Industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed.
