The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown, conveniently situated in downtown Ottawa, steps from Parliament Hill with subway transportation at the hotel's front door for easy access to many points of interest including festival venues.

The hotel features 171 extended-stay guest rooms under the Homewood Suites by Hilton banner and 175 units providing short-stay accommodations under the Hilton Garden Inn banner and a total of 4,500 square feet of conference space, a bar, restaurant, pool and fitness facility.


Objective


The primary role of the Chef De Partie is to assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef's in the daily operation of the kitchen.

You are required to perform scheduled duties and are also required to guide associates in accordance with the policies and procedures in the kitchen.

Must set an example and model hotel and department standards. Must be competent at dealing with customer concerns and ensure each guest has a great experience.

  • Previous supervising experience an asset
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills
  • Familiar with kitchen operations and standards
  • Familiar with Health and Safety regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Red Seal Certified or working towards certification
  • 2 to 3 Years Previous Experience in BQTS & Restaurant

Job Duties:


  • Supervise the operations of the kitchen
  • Assist in training and developing line associates
  • Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met consistently
  • Responsible for inventory control and stocking
  • Ensure staff are on shift and callin staff to cover for an absentee staff
  • Assign duties
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist in promotion of specials and contests
  • May be required to input payroll and assist with scheduling.
  • Ensure safe and friendly environment.
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Working with the Chef to ensure that quality is consistently high.
  • Communicate with the restaurants and banquets
  • Any other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills
  • Minimum 3 years cooking experience

Work Requirements:


  • Unrestricted hours or declare shift availability
  • Able to continuously stand, bend, and lift
  • Dress in complete uniform
  • Be on duty at the start of your shift
  • Attend department meetings
  • Participate in training as required
  • Follow all policies and procedures in employee handbook
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently

Salary:
$50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Experience:
