Your Opportunity:


The Indigenous Wellness Core (IWC) works in collaboration and partnership across Alberta Health Services and with all external partners to support innovation and improvement in Indigenous Health and to work towards health equity for Indigenous peoples and communities.

The IWC has a significant opportunity to improve the health of Indigenous Peoples in Alberta by focusing on upstream efforts and health equity, creating and building on community empowerment and action, and transforming health service delivery to address racism and focus more on determinants of health and prevention.

The IWC is the mechanism through which AHS plans to achieve on-going provincial improvement in Indigenous health, patient outcomes and experience, health improvement and sustainability of Alberta's health system.

The AS4 will provide advanced administrative support to the Indigenous Wellness Core Management teams, as well as provides Program-Wide support for the IWC as part of the Administrative Team.

Working under mínimal guidance and direction, the Administrative Support IV utilizes enhanced skills to perform varied and/or specialized activities.

The Administrative Support IV is a working level, multi-skilled position that also solves a wide range of issues under mínimal supervision.

Work at this level requires proficient skills and experience gained through education and significant on the job training.

The AS4 should be able to multi-task to support a fast-paced and changing environment and have a willingness to be a self-starter and to work independently.

The AS4 requires enhanced problem solving and decision-making skills, will pay very close attention to detail and value the significance of their role within the organization.
