    About this job:

    We are seeking an Actuary to join the Worldwide Actuarial & Risk function. Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Contribute to the delivery and onboarding of a new Reserving Platform
    • Specification of requirements & design of key components including the annual reserve studies and quarter-close process
    • Manage the testing of Reserving Platform components, inputs and outputs
    • Work closely with development team of external vendor to ensure PartnerRe requirements are met
    • Develop enhancements to Reserving management reporting as part of solution onboarding
    • Support parallel runs of the new Reserving Platform to enable the planned go-live of the platform
    • Participate in workshops related to the delivery of the Reserving Platform
    • Communicate regular updates on project progress, risks and issues
    • Develop the expertise to act as a super-user for the Reserving Platform
    • Support the training of wider members of the Actuarial & Risk function
    • Contribute to strategic initiatives across the Actuarial & Risk function
    Qualifications

    About you:

    • Good business judgement: an ability to solve complex issues with pragmatic solutions

    • Project management skills would be an advantage
    • Nearly or newly qualified actuary with an internationally recognized actuarial society.
    • Experience of working on the development a new reserving platform would be an advantage
    • A minimum of 4 years experience with a leading non-life re/insurer. This individual may also have gained part of that experience at an actuarial consulting firm.
    • Knowledge of Reinsurance/Insurance business would be an advantage.
    • High motivation, team-orientation and adaptability
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Programming experience required (Examples: Python, VBA, SAS, R, Python, Power BI).
    • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English
    • Effective project management skills
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skill
    • Ability to learn and navigate existing systems and processes to accomplish stated business objectives effectively and efficiently
