Responsible Adult wage starts at $19.50 per hour
Early Childhood Educator Assistant wage starts at $20.01 per hour
Early Childhood Educator wage start at $22.97 per hour, which includes the ECE Wage Enhancement
Early Childhood Educator with Infant Toddler wage starts at $24.07 per hour, which includes the ECE Wage Enhancement
Eligible staff also receive company paid benefits (extended health, dental, vision care, and more, and enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan)

Nature of Position

OneSky Childcare offers a continuum of group licensed childcare options for children birth to 12 years, including children with special needs.

We currently operate five childcare centres in Penticton, including the newly re-built centre on Edmonton Avenue. We have a variety of full and part-time positions available in Penticton for
Responsible Adults (for after school care), Early Childhood Educator Assistants, Early Childhood Educators, and
Early Childhood Educators with Infant Toddler specialization.

The Childcare staff are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate programs that meet the observed needs of the children and leading children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.

Depending on position and age of children, duties include ensuring a healthy and safe environment, preparing and leading activities, guiding children with interpersonal relationships and problem-solving, encouraging children to accomplish goals and make positive choices, and maintaining good communication with staff, families, and children.

Qualifications

Early Childhood Educators_ will have, at minimum, an Early Childhood Educator Certificate with current license to practice and previous childcare experience. Infant Toddler and/or Special Needs certification, valid First Aid
Certificate, Class 4 Driver's License and/or Food Safe certificate would be an asset.

Responsible Adults _will have completed or be willing to complete the Responsible Adult Certification. A diploma in Early Childhood Education or Child and Youth Care would be an asset.
