Scheduling Specialist (3 Month Part Time Contract - With Possibility of Extension)
Reporting to the Manager of Transitional Living, the Scheduling Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive scheduling services and recommending solutions to ensure coverage, minimum staffing levels are met, and that scheduled/unscheduled absences are filled
  • Approving overtime when necessary according to guidelines provided
  • Monitoring and coordinating absence and scheduling documentation/information
  • Updating and maintaining all scheduling documents including but not limited to callsheets and master schedules
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the collective agreement, relevant Acts and Regulations
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, and regulation and identifying noncompliance for resolution

Education:
Post-secondary education with applicable business courses, skilled in current software programs including advanced Microsoft Office and Windows.


Experience:
At least one but less than four years' experience in administrative duties. Experience with scheduling software and HRIS an asset.


Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and work effectively as a team member.

Awareness and observance of confidentiality issues in relation to clients and staff. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of persons with disabilities. Current knowledge of Collective Agreement, ESA, and any other relevant legislation.


Status: 3 Month Part Time Contract With Possibility of Extension (Non-Bargaining Unit), approximately 17.0 hours per week.
