    Responsibilities:

    • Design calculations for civil, municipal, or hydrotechnical projects, ensuring compliance with local guidelines and expectations.
    • Conduct comprehensive wind, wave, and sediment transport analyses and reporting.
    • Perform hydrotechnical assessments and design complex structures, such as breakwaters and groynes.
    • Create civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications that meet project requirements.
    • Undertake site inspections, construction field inspections, and manage contract administration to ensure project success.
    • Develop proposals, budget estimates, and professional reports to effectively communicate project status and needs.
    • Manage projects, ensuring clear, regular communications with clients and the project team to meet deliverables and timelines.
    • Drive personal vehicle to project sites as required, adhering to safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • A genuine interest in waterfront and coastal processes, evidenced by personal or professional curiosity in water-related activities or phenomena.
    • Registered with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for immediate transfer if registered in another Canadian province.
    • Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to efficiently and clearly convey technical information and professional opinions.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Willingness and ability to work in Kelowna for an extended period, with a commitment to grow within the company.
    • Proven project management skills, with the capacity to lead projects, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy in engineering design and analysis.
    • Flexibility to take on various projects and tasks as assigned, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in a small, dynamic team environment.
