Position DescriptionThe Sales Associate is responsible to ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience for our customer, by being
welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and keeping the store neat, clean and organized (NCO).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Training, Coaching and Development:
- Partner with Management to ensure all of the applicable training for the position is completed
- Actively participate in their own training by putting into practice what has been learned
- Adhere to all Company policies (e.g. HR, Administration, Loss Prevention)
- Adhere to corporate health and safety policy requirements that contribute to a safe work place
- Any other related duties as assigned
Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure exceptional customer service, with the support of current customer service tools
- Ensure heads up behaviour at all times
- Greet all customers who enter the store
- Inform customers of current promotions/customer loyalty program (applicable banners)
- Ensure CASL compliance (applicable banners)
- Maintain a knowledge of merchandise benefits and features (e.g. fashion colours, trends, designs and washing
- Support customers in the Fitting Room area, by being available to assist with sizes and inform customers of the
- Encourage additional sales by offering "addons" to a customer's purchase
- Respond positively to customer inquiries and concerns. Know when to escalate the concern to Management
- Ensure the store is NCO at all times, including the backroom and washrooms
- Project professionalism and Company image by adhering to Company dress code policies
Time Management:
- Effectively utilize time management skills to meet Company objectives, within set timelines
Sales:
- Assist in ensuring store meets sales objectives
- Support completion of markdowns
Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure visual merchandising and marketing directions are implemented as per Management direction, within required
- Participate in the execution of visual launches
- Support the ongoing maintenance of visual merchandising standards
Loss Prevention:
- Adhere to Loss Prevention policies and practices in order to achieve shrink target
- Notify the Store Manager and/or the District Loss Prevention Manager of any loss prevention related concerns
Working Conditions:
- Store level
- Available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business (evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Physically demanding work in a store environment
- Standing on your feet for an extended period of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
Qualifications:
- High School in progress and/or graduated
- Previous retail experience an asset
Related Work Skills:
- People person, with strong ability to communicate with customers and other team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast‐paced and deadline‐oriented environment
- Must work well in a teamoriented environment
- Proficient with technology
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Salary:
$13.00 per hour

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
