    Our client, a leading global civil engineering and mining corporation dedicated to pioneering sustainable practices, is currently seeking a Senior Assurance Manager.


    Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Services, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the professional governance teams in British Columbia and Alberta.

    Your primary objective will be to uphold and enhance compliance, provide assistance to registrants, and continuously refine existing program components while ensuring the integrity of the professional Practice program for British Columbia (EGBC) and Alberta (APEGA).


    Responsibilities:
    Champion safety leadership by adhering to and advocating safety and environmental protocolsMaintain, revise, and enhance the Professional Practice Management Plan collaboratively with Responsible RegistrantsAssist Responsible Registrants and Registrants in various audits as feasibleAid in the implementation of new, adapted, or current processes and systems across sites and relevant offsite groups, providing necessary trainingOrganize and lead routine responsible registrant meetings, establishing yearly work plans for the compliance teamContinuously develop expertise in guideline and enactment requirements and contribute to their interpretation when necessaryStay abreast of emerging regulated professional requirements under the PGA in British Columbia and Alberta, including potential inclusion of non-engineering or non-geoscience professionals like RPBio, Professional Foresters, Technologists, and Agrologists


    Qualifications:
    Degree in engineering or geoscience or equivalent experienceRegistered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); the company offers support for EGBC registration to eligible employeesMinimum of 10 years' experience in the resource sector or a related industrySupervisory experience preferredDemonstrated expertise in leading transformation initiatives in complex business environments, strategic development, multidisciplinary endeavors, and project or program managementProfound understanding of EGBC's regulatory practices and requirements preferredExperience with process development, implementation, change management, and compliance preferredFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, advantageous
