Overview:


As an IT Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data entry processes within the IT department.

You will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining various types of data into computer systems and databases.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry: Inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in computer systems and databases.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data entered, identifying and correcting errors as needed.

Data Verification: Verifying the accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents or other data sets.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of data entry procedures, standards, and protocols.

Data Cleanup: Identifying and resolving inconsistencies or discrepancies in data to ensure data integrity.

Reporting: Generating reports and summaries of data entry activities and outcomes as required by management.

Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth and efficient data entry processes.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with data protection policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline data entry processes and improve efficiency.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in computer science or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in data entry or a similar role, preferably in an IT or technical environment.
  • Proficiency in typing and data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, terminology, and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
