    Description
    We are looking for a Industrial Spray Painter with production painting experience. Someone who is knowledgeable, enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Select appropriate paint or mix paint according to specification/work order.
    • Mixes and applies paint including and not limited to:
    • Understands the techniques of spray painting.
    • Paint preparation/washing, and Caulking.
    • Touch-up and repair work.
    • Hand rolls, brushes, scrapes, sands, and prepares all surfaces before application.
    • Tapes or masks off painted areas as require.
    • Loading parts on and off the work area using a forklift/crane/pump truck.
    • Knowledgeable in the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
    • Uses appropriate inspection gauges
    • Reads and interprets documents such as:
    • Assembly drawings.
    • Work Order instructions.
    • safety rules.
    • operating and maintenance instructions.
    • procedure manuals.
    • Completes standardized written documentation and correspondence.
    • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to Health and Safety.
    • Experienced with Airless Spray Gun & Air assisted Spray Guns.
    • Experienced Spraying to a Mil thickness Clean and maintain equipment.
    • Ensures proper storage and cleaning of personal respiratory mask.
    • Ensures proper storage of all painting consumables
    • Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
    Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
    • Assists Welder's and Fitter's when required.
    • Performs general shop and field services as required.
    Requirements
    • Must be capable of working prolonged periods standing, sitting, squatting,and bending.
    • Lift, Push and Pull Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be manually dexterous.
    • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.
    • Ability to work safely with various chemicals including and not limited to thinners, acetones, and xylene.
    • Mathematics.
    • The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.
    • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.
    • Fast-paced environment.
    Education & Skills
    • Operate spray painting equipment.
    • Works to a process.
    • Works as a team.
    • Knowledgeable of temperature and moisture readings for best applications.
    • Experienced with self contained breathing and helmet apparatus procedures.
    • Knowledgeable of mixing and thinning paints per manufacturer's recommendations.
    • Knowledgeable with SSPC Standards.
    Experience
    • Minimum 3 years.
    Working Conditions
    • Hours of operation: 7:00am to 4:30pm.
