Being a concrete formwork company, we specialize in the construction of high-rise buildings. Our structural formwork division is looking to hire an experienced 'Rigger' to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- The main role of a tower crane rigger is to safely hook up loads for all trades on site and be able to communicate clearly to the operator where, when, and why a load is being moved
- Communicate and work with Site Foremen and Superintendents to take directions on daily tasks
- Communication with other trades and coordination of lifts
- Be familiar with the lifting capacities of the tower crane; ensure no load is lifted where the weight is unknown
- Follow and operate under sitesafe work procedures for lifting, lowering, or moving equipment
- Communicate with the operator via twoway radio and/or hand signals during lifting and lowering procedures
- Ensuring that the loads are aligned in their new spot, properly leveled, and anchored so it does not move during use.
- Strictly adhering to safety regulations (swp) and precautions
- Ensuring that equipment/material from the loads are stored properly and is in good condition.
- Responsible for breaking down rigging equipment and storing it properly after he or she is done with a job, as this also enables him or her to set up more quickly when it's time for another job
Daily Tasks:
- Daily job tasks rig loads of deliveries off trucks for the site with a crane.
- Hook and loads onto trucks to leave the site
- Place and pour concrete with the use of a concrete bucket
- Hook up forming columns load, land, stand, and strip
- Hook up Form deck tables, fly and land
- Load for other trades equipment/material
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Hard worker
- Able to lift over 50lbs
- Able to take direction
- Experience with Formwork equipment
- Peri, Doka, National Forming
- Experience in fastpaced highrise projects.
- Valid Fall Protection Tickets
- Dedication to the project team and timeoriented goals of the project
- Familiar with largescale construction sites
- Able to work well with others and deal if there is a change of plans on short notice

- Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, climb and walk for long periods.
- Exposure to hot and cold extremes. Must have appropriate gear for the weather.

Experience:
- working on large-scale construction sites: 4 years (preferred)
Formwork Construction: 4 years (preferred)
- Rigger: 4 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- BC Driver's License (preferred)
- Fall Protection Ticket (preferred)
