Specialist, Business Continuity and Third Party Resiliency


WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?


This role is critical to the success of the T&O Disaster Readiness team's ability to build and maintain a successful Centre of Excellence via clearly documented risk assessment processes, insightful reporting, and alignment to industry and internal standards, and to regulatory requirements.


The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure Business Continuity and Third-Party Resiliency activities are accomplished in a timely manner.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Documents endtoend requirements for meeting new obligations in Cloud Technology and Business Continuity risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Collaborates with IT partners and build relationships where processes, tools, and requirements intertwine.
  • Leverages the existing process to determine risk assessment needs and priorities, makes assessments, and reports results.
  • Assists in implementing KRIs, KPIs and metrics for our overall compliance reporting obligations.
  • Assists in understanding how new regulations, policies or standards impact the disaster readiness process and reporting to make meaningful recommendations on suggested changes.
  • Ensure all impact assessments, testing and plans are up to date and meet RBC' standards

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must Have:


  • Creative and innovative thinking to drive cloud risk assessment and compliance requirements processes.
  • Ability to understand policies, standards, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently or within team structures.
  • Ability to learn quickly to understand stakeholder positions throughout the enterprise.
  • Understands risk assessment methodologies, metrics, and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure that deliverables are met

Nice-to-have:


  • Strategic thinker and the ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
  • Working with financial institutions or a similar large organization
  • University/College Degree in a relevant or applicable field.
