JOB TITLE:
Drafter, Residential Division


JOB TYPE:
40 Hours per week, Full-Time, Permanent, Monday-Friday

• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company and drafting standards.
• Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings.
• Maintain, support, and operate associated plotters and printers.
• Coordinate with designers, technicians, and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with mínimal oversight.
• Review drawings from construction teams and engineers and provide adjustments as necessary
• Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude.
• Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans
• Strong communication skills and high level of organization
• Minimum 2 years of experience in completing AutoCAD drawings
• Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products
• Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes is an asset
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a teambased environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
