Global Convention Services is currently seeking a result-oriented individual to join our cross Canada team as an Operations Manager in Abbotsford, BC office.

Global Convention Services Ltd. is a family-owned event decorating company, operating since 1989, with eight branches in 5 provinces across Canada.

The core of our business features, but is not limited to, trade show décor, event furniture, event electrical distribution, event printing and signage, material handling, shipping, customs and brokerage, and display installation and dismantle services.

Global Convention Services Ltd.'s recent acquisition of Superior Show Services has elevated them to one of Western Canada's largest trade show and special event decorators.


The Operations Manager role will plan, develop, implement, and oversee company initiatives and projects, while working hand in hand with the sales and event staff daily.

Based in Abbotsford, this Operations Manager will be instrumental in working with customers throughout British Columbia to coordinate the delivery of products and services to their events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Abbotsford warehouse. Work with a team of installers to inventory, forecast, and perform the maintenance needed to keep rental inventory in tip top condition.
  • Project Management provide leadership to Operations team during project planning and execution ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction during the process.
  • Project Execution be a hands on leader in delivering our products and services to clients throughout British Columbia. Work with our team of installers to provide excellent and efficient customer experiences.
  • Work with Human Resources Coordinator to establish a team of qualified installers to provide trade show and special event services throughout British Columbia.
Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management and/or event/facility operations demonstrating ability to manage and execute with a team.
  • Experience with in a fast paced work environment with multiple priorities
  • Organized with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to function under flexible work hours and travel schedules.
  • Articulate, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Salary:
$55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
