Human Resources Coordinator


Position Status:
Permanent; Full-Time

Location: 5310 Explorer Drive, Mississauga ON (Remote/Hybrid Model)

Reporting To:
Human Resources Business Partner

Position Summary:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Process, maintain and ensure accuracy of all employee data in required data sources and personnel files including in an HRIS and other internal databases;
  • Maintain a working knowledge of required policies and procedures, Collective Bargaining Agreements, federal and provincial employment legislation, and Company benefit and pension plans to effectively respond to employee inquiries;
  • Liaise with internal departments as required including Payroll, Workforce Planning and Scheduling;
  • Prepare required reports including, but not limited to, staffing levels, seniority, vacancies, for stakeholders including the Ministry of Health;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resources related projects;
  • Provide administrative support including photocopying, filing, etc; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources, or a related field;
  • Human Resources (CHRP/L) designation preferred;
  • Experience in healthcare and/or aviation is considered an asset;
  • Compensation and/or benefits administration;
  • Experience working in an unionized environment preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of provincial & federal employment legislation;
  • Experience working with HR Information Systems such as ADP and Jobvite applicant tracking system;
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic, fastpaced, and evolving environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated selfinitiative and ability to seek out answers to questions and problems;
  • Demonstrated awareness of self and situational dynamics; ability to maintain confidential information; and
  • Superior relationship building skills with a client service focus.
