About ADM

About the Position

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety in all activities.
  • Member of the quality team and food defense team
  • Responsible for updating the various quality documents of the factory (procedures, specifications, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining Halal and Kosher certifications
  • Responsible for employee training in quality & food safety
  • Technical understanding of the regulatory documentation and ability to conduct detailed research and interpret rules and guidelines applicable to the product portfolio and ingredients used
  • Responsible for conducting internal audits and audits at our external warehouses
  • Participates in investigations and seeks solutions to problems related to food quality and safety
  • Monitors GFSI, governmental, corporate and client requirements
  • Participates in various quality programs (HACCP & FSMA, inspections, internal audit, GMP, etc.)
  • Responsible for approval of primary packaging material
  • Responsible for updating the employee training database
  • Responsible for updating the supplier database
  • If necessary, participate in the management of changes
  • Participate in quality and food safety improvement projects at the facility

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Planning / organization: Ability to focus on priorities and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with mínimal supervision
  • Leadership skills and organizational skills
  • Good timemanagement
  • HACCP or Food Security knowledge
  • Knowledge of GFSI considered an asset
  • Communication skills that link regulatory issues to nonregulatory audiences (sales, various plant employees).

Education or Work Experience

  • BS in food science, chemistry or related scientific field or equivalent work experience in a food factory.
  • Experience in project management would be beneficial

Additional Information

  • Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
  • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
  • Relocation support is not available for this position
