FTE: 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week)


Hours:
Tuesday 11:30am-7pm; Wednesday to Saturday 9am - 4:30pm (Work outside of these hours may be required for meetings and events. Hours to be flexed as required.)


Location:

Primarily onsite, option to work from home on Friday, expectation to attend in-person meetings as needed (locations will vary).

Position Summary


Reporting to the _Program Manager, Dress for Success Calgary/My Best Friend's Closet_, the _Program Coordinator, My Best Friend's Closet/Dress for Success Calgary_ is an integral part of a committed, and hardworking team.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of My Best Friend's Closet (MBFC) program, including client booking process, scheduling and supporting volunteers, community partner engagement, and reporting requirements to the Program Manager.

They also support key elements within Dress for Success Calgary program, working closely with the other Program Coordinator, Dress for Success Calgary.

They demonstrate strong competencies in customer service, conflict management, organization, and time management.


Key responsibilities include:

  • MBFC Coordination (including client bookings, volunteer training, scheduling and support, styling, donation sorting, inventory management, etc.) approx. 60% of position.
  • Support and Coordination of retail partner donations (i.e., Chatters, Blu, etc.)
  • Support the Dress for Success Working Women's Group in partnership with the Program Manager
  • Provide backup support for the DFS Coordinator based on programming needs.
  • Working closely with the Program Manager on program delivery, operational efficiencies, fundraising events, and other duties as required.
  • Support agency special projects/funding opportunities

Role Details


Working with the Program Manager, the position must meet or exceed targets pertaining to client enquiries, client bookings, volunteer support/engagement, client satisfaction, and program improvements/expansion.


  • Maintain client database and ensure timely scheduling of clients for the MBFC program.
  • Answer MBFC client inquires within 48 business hours.
  • Complete monthly, annual and grant reporting in a timely manner.
  • Support coordination of MBFC program volunteer including communication of MBFC program updates and processes, and training of MBFC new volunteers and group volunteers.
  • Foster a positive environment for clients and volunteers.
  • Stay current on youth fashion trends in order to enhance the customer experience.
  • Pivoting to fill in daily volunteer gaps.
  • Providing backup support to Program Coordinator, Dress for Success Calgary.
  • Support organizational fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Support marketing efforts through encouragement of client and volunteer testimonials, pictures for social media, etc.

Position Qualifications/Experience:


  • 13 years of relevant experience (i.e., retail, customer service, volunteer support, administrative, etc.) _
    Experience in a retail environment is a strong asset. _
  • Passionate about nonprofit organizations, and in particular about serving and empowering women and teen girls to implement MCA's mission.
