- Troubleshooting system and application related issues in conjunction with the clients, ITSS staff, and external service providers as required using appropriate system tools;
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of the application, following application standards and guidelines, and accurate documentation;
- Responsible for the delivery of accurate data in a timely manner to health care management and health care professionals.
- Works closely with the Medical Programs Director, Medical Programs Manager, Physicians Services Manager, Medical Programs staff, programmer analysts and other health care professionals on data standards and quality.
- Developing, implementing, and executing test plans, including integration testing and assist with the development, implementation, and execution of User Acceptance Testing plans;
- Compile Reciprocal billing information to distribute to other province for Out of Province Patient physician claims
- Assisting Auditor and Claims Educator from Medical Affairs as required and requested.
- Process and complete documentation for biweekly physicians' payments processed in the Medigent software.
- Register new physicians at Medicare and updating existing physician information as received at Medicare.
- Provide updates in the application of database variables to ensure data is accurate and logical, this include updating Master Agreement tariff changes.
- Processing information requests from various parties and stakeholders
- Other duties as required.
- University degree or College diploma in Computer Science (or a related discipline with major IT course work), business information technology, business, or a related field;
- Considerable related application support experience and knowledge of the field related to the supported system and other related information systems;
- Considerable experience with complex issues management, problem-solving, innovative solution generation and root cause analysis;
- Must possess skills and abilities to build effective working relationships within the business information system environment between and among systems users and service providers;
- Understand the Medical Services system and of the data structures and the technology environment they are used in;
- Proficient in Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise, or willingness to train
- Communicate thoughts and express complex ideas in simple technology, encourage groups to work together to achieve goals and promote innovation and change;
- Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills as well as effective organization, time management, customer service, conflict resolution, analytical, problem solving, and teamwork skills required;
- Must be self-directed and work independently with minimal supervision;
- Experience managing the expectations of a wide range of key stakeholders and target solution users while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Must have access to reliable transportation as travel is required;
