Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to deliver high-quality, scalable product experiences across Trulioo's identity platform. This role is ideal for a strong hands-on designer who thrives in complex workflows, cares deeply about craft, and collaborates closely with product and engineering to ship polished, implementation-ready solutions.

The Senior Product Designer will own and execute complex product initiatives from discovery through delivery. You will translate ambiguous requirements into clear, thoughtful interaction patterns and high-fidelity designs that balance usability, scalability, and technical constraints.

This role is execution-focused with growing strategic exposure. You will partner closely with Principal designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to ensure Trulioo's experiences are cohesive, reliable, and high-quality across platforms.

This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver, with three in-office days per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

End-to-End Product Execution

• Lead design projects from discovery through final implementation.

• Deliver clear, well-structured user flows, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity UI across web and mobile surfaces.

• Translate complex verification and onboarding requirements into intuitive user experiences.

Complexity to Clarity

• Design multi-step workflows that may include branching logic, failure states, and compliance constraints.

• Create thoughtful retry, error, and state management experiences.

• Ensure clarity in data-heavy dashboards and operational interfaces.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align on scope, constraints, and delivery timelines.

• Participate actively in product discovery and validation efforts.
  Present design rationale clearly and respond constructively to feedback.

Craft & Design Systems

• Apply and extend Trulioo's design system using advanced Figma practices (components, variants, auto-layout).

• Ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and scalability across product surfaces.

• Maintain high standards in layout, typography, hierarchy, and interaction design.

AI-Assisted Workflow

• Use AI tools (e.g., Figma Make, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate ideation, exploration, and iteration.

• Leverage AI to improve efficiency while maintaining strong design judgment.

What You'll Bring:

• 5–8+ years of experience in Product Design or UX/UI Design.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interaction and visual design across complex digital products.

• Proven experience designing multi-step workflows, data-rich interfaces, or enterprise SaaS products.

• Expert proficiency in Figma, including scalable component systems and auto-layout.

• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Ability to independently manage projects within a defined scope.

• Canadian work authorization and ability to work onsite in Vancouver (hybrid model).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in fintech, identity verification, risk, compliance, or B2B SaaS.

• Experience designing both internal tools and customer-facing experiences.

• Experience contributing to design systems in growing product organizations.

• Comfort presenting work to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Experience with motion or micro-interactions in product interfaces.
