Job Summary

Responsibilities:

Provide onsite customer service, field repair, and maintenance of Printers and MFP's in our customer's facilities.

OT Group technicians must have the technical ability to utilize electronic, electrical, mechanical and computer networking skills to troubleshoot difficult problems and to ensure long term customer satisfaction through regular maintenance.


  • Attention to detail on all service calls.
  • Trouble shoots using a logical stepbystep process of elimination to properly conclude and address the issue.
  • Proactive service call methodology
  • Performs the total call routine to maximize up time and number of copies/prints between calls.
  • Cleans the machine inside and out on every call.
  • Verifies firmware and software are up to date on all visits.
  • Communicates effectively with client site contact and addresses the fleet on each call.
  • Effectively manages time and activity to maximize utilization.
  • Effectively and proactively uses parts to maximize machine reliability and keep up with part life yields.

Territory / Inventory Management:


  • Effectively works with Management and Team to achieve response time goals for designated territory.
  • Accurately and timely closes calls through dispatching software.
  • Maintains an organized and accurate inventory.
  • Works with the parts department to consistently track, order and reorder parts to maintain an effective inventory to maximize 1st call efficiency.

Excellence in Communication:


  • Able to calmly discuss the situation with the customer by first listening and gathering all pertinent facts and then implementing a solution.
  • Consistently works with dispatch and keeps customers informed.
  • Keeps Management and Sales informed regarding all customer escalation issues.
  • Follows up with Parts Manager and customers regarding all "incomplete" parts issues.
  • Handling objections or difficult situations well.
  • Escalates situations to the Management and sales, when needed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities and DutiesRequirements and Skills:


  • We are seeking customer focused, selfmotivated technicians with a college level technical, computer or electrical education, strong mechanical aptitude, strong computer proficiency and effect troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum of 23 years related experience, with certified training and service experience preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of printer repair expertise, a huge plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must own a car for daily usage
  • Must follow the policies and procedures set forth by OT Group.
  • Valid and Clean Drivers License
  • Current Canadian Passport

Salary:
$23.50-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
