The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team in the role of the Resource Alignment Coordinator. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Out of Home Care, Service Delivery and community stakeholders to assess local placement coordination practices, develop provincial coordination practices and implement the new processes provincially.
In this position, you will be responsible to:
- Build and lead working groups that include MSS staff and community stakeholders that are involved with providing resources to children and families and matching children in care to appropriate placements.
- Assess, adjust and develop practices, responsibilities and accountabilities that guide and oversee the resourcing and placement of children provincially.
- Adjust provincial placement process that ensures children are safe and matched to the best possible placement in relation to the unique needs of the child.
- Lead the development of a provincial process that will collect and analyze data focused on children remaining in their communities with their family, friends and individual support.
- Develop a provincial group home assessment and approval process for one-to-one staffing requests.
- Amalgamate resource and placement referral documents to support efficiency and better management of provincial resource utilization.
- Provide training and communication on the newly adjusted or developed provincial processes.
- Collaborates with others within the Ministry in the adjustment or development of policy.
- Lead, coach and provide supervision of working groups.
- Report to Group Home Governance Project Leads on:
- Updating and revision of the Out of Home Care referral form.
- Development of resource directories in each Service Area.
- Development of local and provincial standardization triage processes that focus on children remaining in their communities and being cared for and supported with services that match their unique needs.
- Development of a standardized provincial admission form and process for care providers.
- Development of a provincial standardized process for proposal, approval and assessment of one-to-one services being requested by group home programs.
- Development of a provincial process that will collect and analyze data focused on the effective placement of children.

To qualify for this position, you will possess a 4 year Bachelor degree in Social work or other human services field from an accredited university, combined with experience in a program delivery setting, as well as several years of experience in Child Protection or Children's Service Delivery - within Child and Family programs.
